Don’t Just Sit There

As a science department student, I always sit before the personal computer or read books in order to learn more and for pass my difficult courses. Maybe it seems cool that I am really pedantic such as a scientist from my friends. But in reality, I always feel tired and inefficient. Till I have seen this piece of news, I recognize the problem that I am facing with.

The passage pointed out that sitting for a long time not only injures health but also influence others becoming inactive. It also gave two experiment of a group of men and animals----to compare with the metastasis between the active and inactive legs. The result was no thought that cells became healthier in the active legs than the inactive legs.

To connect with my life past and present, it seems rich in truth. To compare with the life between in Japan and China, it is a 20kg-difference!

When I was in my home, my mother was always sitting in the sofa and watching television, my father was always sitting before the desk or lying in the bed and suffering the internet. So the main atmosphere in my family is inactive, there is no thought that I scarcely did nothing and just sat before my desk, writing homework or suffering the internet.

After last year’s autumn, I came to Kyoto, Japan, my life was changed thoroughly. I began to rise up regularly and do everything by myself. I found that I like the life style which is systematical and tidy. Though I didn’t do any exercise in the past half year, I did many household, studied hard and went to many places for taking auditions in order to be admitted to a University. And just for the healthy life style in the past half year, 20kg-fat disappeared from my body. Science I have thought about it, I think it is not only to lose weight, but a way to suffer from the disease as heart disease, cancer or diabetes when I become old. And maybe movement could suffer me again from my feelings of tired University life.

After I came to Hokudai, I become lazy again. Maybe there is less stress than the days in Kyoto, I use my all free time to sleep. And as the passage said “fat can accumulate and migrate to the heart or liver”, I just feel more tired after I sleep so much. And my friends are also influenced by my sleepy.

In a conclusion, movement is very significant for our life and health. It not only makes us stronger but also brings new things for our body. If you feel tired, just cast aside your pen, books, and computer! Go outside the door, breathe the fresh air and move your rusty body!
